A Storm is coming - the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association's 14th Annual Storm the State House
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On Thursday, May 21, motorcyclists in Massachusetts are planning to ride to the State House in Boston for the 14th consecutive Massachusetts Motorcycle Association “Storm the State House”... This annual event is FREE and parking is provided by Massachusetts Motorcycle Association. All who are able to attend are encouraged to do so as this is the only official statewide motorcycle lobbying day.
Every weekend for the rest of the 2015 motorcycle riding season, thousands of motorcyclists line up to donate their time and money for all types of Charity and Support Rides benefiting a plethora of worthwhile individuals, causes and organizations. The Massachusetts Motorcycle Association is hoping an equal number of riders will also donate their time to "Storm the State House" in Boston to show the Massachusetts Legislature that we care about our issues, that we will fight for our issues, and that we VOTE to help advance our issues. We are asking every motorcyclist in the Commonwealth to make every effort to attend the 14thAnnual Storm the State House on May 21, 2015.
We realize the Storm is scheduled on a regular workday, but we do this purposely - if we scheduled the Storm for a weekend there would be no one at the State House for riders to talk to, and thus we would have zero impact. This is YOUR chance for YOUR voice to be heard up on Beacon Hill.
We, as riders, spend a lot of time and money on charity events and rides that have nothing to do with motorcycles or motorcycle rights; the “Storm” is the event to highlight and solicit support for YOUR RIDING RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS!
Riders should plan to arrive at the Lion’s Club/Senior Center at 9 New Washington Street in Somerville anytime between 9-11AM. Coffee and snack foods will be available. Storm riders will depart promptly at NOON for the short ride to the State House. During this ride we pass right in front of the State House and Legislators typically are waiting for our arrival.
