The Motorcycle Riders Foundation issued a call-to action today with the title, Does NHTSA Think Animals' Lives are More Important Than Riders?
Last month, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a document concerning safety policies for self-driving cars. In the 36-page document, there was a section that urged automakers to account for detection of pedestrians, bicyclists and animals -- Motorcyclists weren't even mentioned!
Your Massachusetts Motorcycle Association joins with the MRF in asking that you tell the NHTSA that the lives of riders DO matter, and are MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANIMALS!
All it takes is a couple of clicks to tell the NHTSA what you think by filing comments with the agency on this critical issue.
