Your MMA Remembers MA State Rep. Jim Miceli
Published on 4/23/2018
Your Massachusetts Motorcycle Association extends its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Massachusetts State Representative James Miceli who passed away on Saturday.
Massachusetts State Representative James R. Miceli
Representative Miceli was the second-longest serving member of the Massachusetts Legislature, and died in his hometown of Wilmington doing what he loved to do most – serve his constituency. In this case, during a Little League opening ceremony.
A life-long public servant, Rep. Miceli provided a significant presence in his local community since the mid-1960’s, and ultimately representing Wilmington and Tewksbury since 1977 in the State Legislature.
During his 20 terms in the Massachusetts Legislature, Rep. Miceli was also a long supporter of your Massachusetts Motorcycle Association; acting as a sponsor or co-sponsor on numerous Bills through the years, he was also instrumental in helping to restore our Motorcycle Safety Funding for a brief period in the early 2000’s.
“We are humbled that such a devoted and dedicated public servant would devote so much time and energy to the broader issues facing the Motorcyclists of the Commonwealth,” said Dave Condon, Massachusetts Motorcycle Association Chairman. “His presence has been felt through the years and we extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends with our everlasting gratitude.”
