Your Massachusetts Motorcycle Association extends its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Joe Proia. This past Sunday, Joe was doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle, when he experienced a medical event resulting in this being his final ride.
Joe had been a friend to your MMA for close to 40 years, 37 of which he spent as a Motorcycle Rider Instructor, MSF Rider Coach, and until a couple of years ago as the principal of Ironstone Ventures, one of Massachusetts largest rider education schools as well as a loyal Gold Card Sponsor to your Massachusetts Motorcycle Association. Dedicated and passionate about Motorcycle Safety, Joe retired from Rider Education after a bout with illness and dedicated his final years to riding, operating riding tours of Europe, and his family.
