The Massachusetts Motorcycle Association (MMA) is honored to host the 2013 Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) "Beast of the East" conference. This annual event is one of 2 regional conferences held annually to address the national issues facing motorcyclists. This year, the "Beast" is being held at the Radisson Chelmsford from April 19-21…
Beginning on Friday, April 19th, the MMA will host an escorted ride around the Revolutionary Sites to honor Nathan "Buck" Kitterage, a founder and former President of the MRF. Afternoon Sessions will culminate with a roll call of States who will present issues facing them around the country with a Hospitality Suite open to all attendees. Saturday's General Sessions will continue with breakouts after Lunch and a Banquet & Auction with a Guest Speaker… MRF and MMA merchandise will be on sale throughout the event as well as products from local SMROs.
Proposed sessions include Women in Motorcyclists' Rights, Working with Legislators, Developing Relationships outside the Legislature, 3R's on Safety, Planning a Trip to DC, Membership & Membership Benefits, and a demonstration of Motorcycle Cornering and Braking int he Barking Lot. General sessions on the issues and ideas facing us in Washington, the Organization of the MRF, and other issues on the international scene.
As a special benefit to MMA Members in Good Standing, the registration fee will be slashed to $40 which will cover the cost of the Banquet. Normally, the fee is from $70 to pre-register ($80 after March 19th).
