FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The MMA extends its condolences to the Boston FD, family, & friends

The Massachusetts Motorcycle Association (MMA) extends its thoughts and deepest condolences to the Boston Fire Department, and to the families and friends of Lieutenant Ed Walsh and Firefighter Mike Kennedy.

Boston FD 2014 - RIP

Every day in our communities there are those brave men and women who stand ready to risk all to save the lives and property of others.   Yesterday, these two brave men were no exception and sadly lost their lives battling a blaze on Beacon Street which injured dozens and could have been a major disaster if not for the daring of these two brave souls and their brothers and sisters in uniform.

Firefighter Mike Kennedy was also a member of the American Infidels MC, a club whose members also saw action overseas in another uniform.  A proud Marine, Mike was loved and will be missed by his brothers on two wheels and the entire riding community.

Gentlemen, you were called to duty and selflessly sacrificed yourselves for the benefit of others.  There is no greater calling. You truly are the bravest of the brave.

Rest now in peace, and job well done.
