GET "STUFF" DONE!
Just since the year 2000, without the benefit of paid lobbyists, and because individual riders, just like you, came together as 'volunteer citizen bikers', the MMA has been pivotal in getting six rider friendly bills enacted into law. We have also helped make several public policy changes within various government agencies, for the benefit of all Massachusetts' riders.
This is proof that hundreds of individual riders, doing just a little, adds up to a whole lot. The energy becomes unstoppable. Now, imagine what THOUSANDS of individual riders, working together, could accomplish.
The MMA Government Relations team, harnesses and directs this energy. We educate officials who don't ride. We support those officials who understand our position, and work with us to accomplish our goals. We rally riders to participate, either as volunteers through MMA activities and functions, or with their check book, through the American Bikers Acting to Educate, Political Action Committee, of Massachusetts (ABATE PAC of MA).
We can teach you how, using a minimum of your own personal involvement, you CAN make a difference, simply by establishing a personal relationship with your own local elected officials.
Like it or not, politics is all around you. And, if you don't do politics, politics will do you.
